Number of Stay-at-Home Mothers is on the Rise

For the last three decades, there has been a long-term decline in the number of stay-at home mothers. Yet that trend seems to be experiencing a reversal. In 2012, there were roughly 10.4 million stay-at-home mothers due to demographic, economic and societal factors.
